IE SHRM will post open Human Resources positions for non-members on our website for 30 days for $150 or 60 days for $200. This recruitment resource is offered as a benefit to IE SHRM members at no charge for 30 days.

Volunteer Positions with Inland Empire SHRM

Are you excited about HR? Would you like to participate in advancing the HR profession? Inland Empire SHRM currently has open board positions and volunteer opportunities for innovative and energetic individuals that are interested in giving back to the profession.  By volunteering with your local SHRM chapter, you can earn up to 10 (PDC) recertification credits per year.

Secretary

Board Executive Officer Role. Maintain chapter documentation, records and history. Act as repository for all chapter policies and standard operating procedures.  Maintains a record of attendance and prepares the official minutes of all officers' and directors' meetings and regular chapter meetings.

 

Financial Chair

Act as Financial Chair in support of the Treasurer.  Reconciles registration list and payments for chapter events and meetings. Assists with meeting check-in and at-the-door payments. Reconciles receipts. Makes payments to vendors and processes reimbursements. Acts as back-up to Treasurer for bank accounts and financial reporting.  Assists with the compilation and completion of forms associated chapter business, such as chapter liability insurance and non-profit status with IRS.

Events Logistics Chair

Serves as resource in arranging locations and resources for chapter events. Coordinates with venue representatives in scheduling space or arranging for accommodations to ensure that meetings run smoothly.

Membership Roster Chair

Maintains the chapter's membership roster on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the Vice President of Membership. Communicates with membership, responding to inquiries and requests.

Marketing & Social Media Chair

Supports the VP of Marketing and Public Relations. Handles chapter social media and at-large communications. Participates in the development and distribution of member communications.

All positions require active SHRM membership, and IE SHRM chapter designation. In addition, some positions may require that applicants are active human resource practitioners, with certain levels of HR experience due to the nature of the responsibilities.
